On occasion of “World Health Day” Lotus Medical Foundation has organized a Signature Campaign at Kolhapur City. District AIDS prevention and Control unit supported this activity.

Aim of this activity was to increase the awareness in general population about HIV/AIDS and the stigma and discrimination associated with it by involving them in it.

We put flex boards with various messages about HIV AIDS at 10 various main crowded places throughout Kolhapur city like University; central bus stand, Railway Station, Bhavani Mandap area, City bus stop etc and people were asked to read and sign the boards as their contribution towards HIV awareness. We also deed street plays and Shahir Powadas at these places which were regarding the subject and were giving correct information about the disease through their acts. We also arranged question answer sessions, and also distributed information booklets/ pamphlets. We received huge, enthusiastic response and appreciation from people.
