HIV/AIDS is associated with stigma and discrimination, so a lot of people do not come forward for HIV testing. Earlier the diagnosis better is the lifespan and quality of life. Screening is thus required in all the MSACS funded projects. On request from LMF, MSACS provided testing kits, registers and training. As a result of such screening camps, vulnerable population undergo HIV testing early in the disease stage. This helps in early diagnosis and timely treatment.
